WHAT IS IMPROV?
Improv is a form of live theater where actors perform without a script, making up scenes, dialogue, and characters spontaneously. There are different type of improvisational theathers — for instance short form versus long form, and comedy versus drama. This evening, we'll only do improv games.WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
This improv evening is a Jam-format. Your MC of the night will present a set of games. For each game, there's a number of players needed, and whoever feels like playing can come on stage to play the game.There will be games for newbies, as well as more challenging ones for seasoned improv players. And if you're not sure if you would dare to play, then you can just sign up and have a good belly laugh while comfortably staying in your audience seat.
Your MC of the night is Vincent Van Nieuwenhuyze. Translate that last name to Italian and you get "Casanova" -> Aha! This man can teach you how to flirt 😏 ... but not only that, Vincent is also a hartwarming teacher and host, much-loved in the national & international improv scene, and a proud representative of Belgium in European & World Improvisational Championship competitions!
WILL I FIND LOVE?
The theme of the evening is dating/relationships/love. Our games will have a fun twist to bring this topic to the center stage, but they are not specifically intended to create instant chemistry on the spot (although maybe some fictional weddings may take place 😉).At the end of the evening, you'll have time to mingle with everyone present. And in case you witnessed someone whom you find particularly funny, handsome, or interesting, then you'll be able to secretly let that person know you'd like to see them again. (We'll tell you how during the evening)
