Welcome to the first book club of 2025! I hope the start of the new year has gone well for everyone and I’m so excited to see all of you.

This month’s book is The Woodsmoke Women’s Book of Spells by Rachel Greenlaw. A little romance and a little magic seems like a good way to kick off the new year.

Synopsis:

Due to our first Wine and Crime being so much fun, we’ve decided to make it a monthhy event! As someone who doesn’t read a ton of crime/thrillers, I’m excited to explore more of this genre(s) with you.

I thought we’d lean into winter with this month’s pick. This month’s book A Winter in New York by Josie Silver. I’m really looking forward to this one and am hoping the gelateria backdrop turns out to be as cute as I think it will!

Hello everyone!

Because of race week (and all the chaos it brings), we’ve had to move this month’s Wine & Crime up a week. I hope all who want to are able to get to the book this month. Unfortunately I won’t be at this one because I will be away for a funeral, but my co-host Emily or another of our lovely regulars will be there to host.
