Please ensure you bring food to contribute, as this is a shared experience. Let's all come prepared to make the most of this event together."WHAT IS LOK LOK ?"
"Lok Lok" is a popular Malaysian street food experience that combines the fun of communal dining with the excitement of street food culture. The term "Lok Lok" translates to "dip dip" which perfectly describes the process. Here's how it works:- Skewered Ingredients: A variety of food items, such as meats, seafood, vegetables, fried tofu, fish balls and even quail eggs, are presented on skewers.
- Cooking Style: Diners select their skewers and cook them by dipping them into a communal pot of boiling water or broth at the stall. It's similar to hotpot but with a street food twist.
- Sauces Galore: Once cooked, the skewers are paired with a range of flavorful sauces, including peanut, sweet and sour, chili, and more, allowing diners to customize their taste experience.
- Casual Atmosphere: Lok Lok is often enjoyed at roadside stalls, hawker centers, or night markets, making it a social and interactive dining experience.
