Hi, Friend! Thanks for stopping by So Cal’s first strictly offline community where we trade wireless connection for human connection.
The mission of The Friendship Club is to mend our relationships to technology and each other.
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Come lock up your phones and enjoy some screen free activities while getting to know your community.
Many screen free activities are provided with several to choose from, including all the classics and Long Beach-opoly! You’re welcome to bring any game or 'mess free' craft or hobby of your own (if you prefer) such as knitting, crossword-ing, reading, journaling, etc.
WHEN:
In person gatherings Saturdays & Wednesdays
WHERE:
Downtown Long Beach and Alamitos Beach
WHY:
Because it's fun to meet new people and make new friends!
Because it's healthy to unplug and it can be challenging to do alone.
Because research is showing we are losing our conversation/social skills.
Because the internet + apps have connected us globally but disconnected us locally.
