What we’re about
Magic awaits with the Malliway Bros!
Witches, wizards, sorcerers, warlocks, enchanters, and magic-makers of all kinds will find community and fun at the Witches' Conclave. We offer workshops and rituals focusing on various aspects of witchcraft with an emphasis on being operative and results-oriented. Practitioners of all skill levels are welcome to attend our meetings, whether you're a fresh witchling just starting off or have been working the weird ways of witchcraft for ages.
We provide inclusive rituals for the phases of the moon and open celebrations for the witch's sabbats. Our classes focus on a wide spectrum of traditional and operative magic, drawing inspiration from our time in the wilds of England's west country.
The Conclave often gathers at our witch shop, Malliway Bros, located at 1407 W Morse Avenue, in the bustling Roger's Park neighborhood of Chicago.
THE WITCHES' CONCLAVE CODE OF CONDUCT
No matter our paths, what spirits we work with, or what forces we conjure, at the Witches' Conclave let's gather in peace. We are here to learn and to spread our magic and in order to do this, there are a few guidelines to follow:

-Respect other's privacy if they do not wish to share personal information, social media, email, phone numbers, addresses, or spend time outside of the Conclave.
-Do not use the Conclave as a dating pool.
-Do not solicit other members for business or money during events.

See you there! Our history as witches spans across the entire human timeline, and maybe even longer than that. But the view of what a witch was, and the word itself, was cemented during the witch trials of the 15th-17th centuries. Who were the witches before that? How did the world see them? And do they still fit with our modern idea of a witch?
This class will dig deep into the mythologies of pre-Christian, ancient witches from Circe to Baba Yaga to understand their place in society. This will be a discussion HEAVY topic so be ready to chat and ask questions! We will also be working some magic relating to these witches and draw on what wisdom we might have lost. - A Witch's Approach to Goetic Magic1407 W Morse Ave, Chicago, IL$25.00

See you there!Perhaps one of the most infamous grimoires ever written, the Lemegeton, also referred to as the Key of Solomon, outlines complicated methods of conjuring and compelling certain spirits to serve the will of the conjuror. For many, the sheer complexity of the ritual structures prescribed in these texts make working with these powers incredibly unattainable, but that doesn't keep the astute Witch from finding a way to incorporate these aspects into their magic.
If you find yourself drawn to the oddities of the Key of Solomon, but unsure where to begin studying it, you may want to join this workshop! Some of our discussion items include:
- An overview of the 5 books that make up the Key: Ars Goetia, Ars Goetia, Ars Theurgia, Ars Paulina, Ars Almadel, and Ars Notoria
- The Story of King Solomon and his biding of the 72 spirits
- Odd examples of the spirits working their way into traditional folk magic
- Overviews of the full conjuring as outlined in the manuscript
- Modern theories explaining how and why the manifestation of the spirits can occur.
- Making and Using Black Mirrors for Divination & SpellworkMalliway Bros. Spells, Charms, & Potions, Chicago, IL$50.00
