What we’re about
This group is for people who are already experienced in playing pickleball and are entering tournaments at around the 3.5 level. If you are new to the game please see our other group - Thornbury Pickleball Group - Novices.
Club sessions will be on Thursday nights in the Severnside Hall at Thornbury Leisure Centre. Evening session time is 7pm - 9pm.
As part of the club we will offer additional ad hoc sessions, including sessions for Improvers, tournament preparation, guest instructors as available. This will be advertised through Meetup for booking in the normal way.

To come to a session, you must book in advance through Meetup. Once you have committed to come, we will book sufficient courts so please ensure that you can come before booking. If you are unwell or have an emergency which means you cant come please post a short comment to let us know or send a private message to the hosts, if you prefer.
No guests will be allowed, please sign up individually so we know who to expect. In the event that sessions are oversubscribed we will firstly try to get more courts and if this is not possible may give priority to Thornbury Pickleball Club members.
Individuals who do not attend when they have said they will, will be marked as a ‘no show’ and will be expected to pay for any missed weeks. (Exceptions as above). This applies to late cancellations as well (within 48 hours).
As well as incurring court costs that may not be required ‘No shows’ also disrupt events for others either by not allowing them to sign up and/or by making uneven numbers for doubles play. We want everyone to have a great pickleball experience so please make every effort to only book when you are sure.
