Tackling one of England’s most breathtaking coastal walks this 17-mile (21 km) hike takes us along the dramatic chalk cliffs of the Seven Sisters, offering spectacular views of the English Channel. Join us for a challenging circular hike starting in Eastbourne, we’ll head through rolling hills towards Friston Forest. Emerging from the trees, breathtaking views of the iconic chalk cliffs unfold as we tackle the dramatic coastal path, with its exhilarating highs & lows. Along the way, we’ll pass Cuckmere Haven and its winding estuary—perfect for a picnic break. When we reach Eastbourne, you can join us as we enjoy a chippy tea on the beach (or a dip in the sea for the brave!).
We'll be following the cliff edge, on easy terrain (you will need trail shoes/hiking boots for grip as three are some loose sections. The perfect hike for those looking for some hill training or just looking to burn a little extra energy!

- Participating in our hikes is entirely voluntary. By joining, you acknowledge that outdoor activities carry inherent risks, including but not limited to, slips, falls, weather changes, and encounters with wildlife.
- The group leader(s) are volunteers and are not professional guides. They are not responsible for your safety or personal well-being. You are responsible for assessing your own abilities and ensuring you are fit to participate.
- Make sure you are in good health and physically prepared for the hike. Bring a packed lunch, plenty of water, and any necessary medications/blister care. It’s always good to pack extra snacks and hydration.
- Wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for hiking. Check the weather forecast and dress accordingly.
- By attending, you agree to waive any claims of liability against the organisers, leaders, or other participants. You participate at your own risk.
- The leaders are not responsible for lost, damaged, or stolen personal items.
- Follow Leave No Trace principles: pack out all rubbish, stay on designated trails, and respect wildlife.
- Be courteous and supportive of fellow hikers.
- Ensure you have a way to communicate in case of an emergency (e.g., a charged phone or whistle).
- Stay with the group and inform the leader if you need to leave early or take a break.
- Photos and videos may be taken during the hike and used for social media or promotional purposes. Let us know if you prefer not to be photographed.
