What we’re about
Please join us to practice the Japanese language and develop intercultural skills along the way.
Torus is a 501 c (3) nonprofit organization. Torus bridges gaps between people and communities by facilitating transformative experiences of language and culture exchange.
We envision a future where everyone experiences mutually transformative relationships across culture and language while simultaneously holding a deep sense of belonging both to their own culture and to a broader multicultural and multilingual society.

Hello everyone! こんにちは皆さん!Welcome to the Torus Japanese Language Meetup! Please RSVP so that we know how many people will show up. All levels are welcome.
***RSVP up to 24 hours in advance and we will send the Zoom link and password to Direct Message at the Meetup***
Registration closes on Wednesday. We will now be providing a password to all participants who RSVP. To receive this password, please check your messages in Meetup. We will also be locking our meetings so please arrive on time. See you soon!
If you are participating while walking or driving, please stop and join us from a calm place, as it is difficult to have a conversation. If you can make the conversation from a quiet outdoor location or your parking car, YES!!, you can participate.
This meetup will emphasize conversation, and after self-introductions, participants will be divided into groups to discuss the topic.
Depending on the number of participants, we will divide into two groups. Please decide for yourself which group you prefer before splitting into groups.
By participating in this meeting, you will have the opportunity to speak in Japanese.
