Triangle Sword Guild

NOTE: This class is closed to first-time students.

This class is a continuation of the beginner's Renaissance fencing class, open to anyone who has completed that beginner's class. The class requires at least a fencing mask & gloves, but preferably arm and leg protection as well.

This class continues with the fundamentals of the one-handed sword (sometimes called a side sword) as taught and used in 16th-century Italy, branching into the foundations of other Renaissance weapons including rapier, sword & buckler, and dagger - all of which are studied in more depth in our Core classes.

TRAINING FEES: Our club's training fees are $40 / month for ongoing students. For new students, please refer to the Beginner's class meetup event.

This is an intermediate-level class in 16th-century Bolognese fencing and closed to beginning students. New TSG students, students unfamiliar with the Bolognese tradition, or those who are interested in focusing on the fundamentals of Renaissance fencing should first attend our Renaissance Beginners classes.

This class is for current members of the Triangle Sword Guild. It serves as a space for Fiore students to build upon their skills and/or catch up to classes they might have missed. It also serves as a place where other advanced students from other Triangle Sword Guild courses can come and learn the fundamentals and basics for cross training into this curriculum.

Open enrollment for the next Trainee Level Course starts in December 2024. That class begins in January 2025.

This class is open to members who have completed the beginner portion of the Napoleonic Fencing class.

This class focuses on learning British Sabre, Broadsword, & Spadroon fencing from the late 18th - early 19th Centuries. The current focus of the class is Charles Roworth's The Art of Defence on Foot, supplemented with Captain George Sinclair's Anti-Pugilism / Cudgel Playing Modernized and Improved and Thomas Mathewson's Fencing Familiarized; A New Treatise on the Art of the Scotch Broad Sword. This class aims to familiarize all students with more advanced concepts of sabre and broadsword fencing.
