A fire destroyed the Sodder family home in West Virginia on Christmas Eve in 1945, leading to the mysterious disappearance of 5 children within the home.

While the parents and four children escaped, the five older siblings were never found. The family suspected abduction due to the lack of remains and reported sightings over the years. The children have never been found and the case remains unsolved.
