Upstate Hiking and Outdoor Adventures

Cataloochee campground is open and so are the trails. There are no foot bridges left from the hurricane so it will be fording if we come to a spot. also trails still have downed trees and must watch for other issues while hiking.
The plan is some hiking from the campground. You may pick your own trail and head out. I will be hiking but have no idea yet what trails, will not be going over 4 miles I suspect.
The road DOES NOT go to the meadow, you must hike it.

This is bear country so all food must be kept in the vehicles.

will be exploring some area arches-trails of Big South Fork that will be from 1 mile to 7 miles +/- on each hike.
car camping at Bandy Creek campgrounds Oneida Tn.
Reservations open on November 27th. A loop is for tent campers and I am going for the tent sites A32-43)please book your own site). I want to book A40 if open. These tent sites are on their own loop and not far from a bath house. They all are supposed to have bear vaults as this is bear country. So all bear precautions are in effect.
This is an adventure as I have never been here before.
Bring your hiking boots, day pack, laughter and an adventurous spirit.

Halloween camping, Kayaking, pumpkin decorating, games, campfires, cooking your camp specialty for Thursday supper. Make sure you look at the dates, I have made it a day longer for more kayaking. If you cannot stay through Saturday that is fine come for what you can.
I have reserved site 46 at twin lakes campground, please get your rsvp in fast if you can come. these sites go fast.
You will need your kayak and kayaking gear to include a PFD with whistle,
camping gear and make sure you have some stuff for cold weather.
It is Halloween but not sure there will be any trick or treating. There may be kids or not as Halloween is on a Friday night.

Please bring some firewood so we can have nice campfires
