Utah Outdoors

We will be leading easy group nature walks every other week, we might throw in some bird watching while we are at it.

If no location has been posted, we will be meeting at the nature center at Farmington Bay.

This event is designed to bring people together, fostering deeper connections and building a stronger sense of community. Our goal is to create an environment where lasting friendships can flourish and participants feel a true sense of belonging.

While we welcome newcomers and understand that some may only be able to join us for a single event, we hope that many of you will choose to become regular participants in the Utah Outdoors Community events. Being a consistent part of our group allows for more meaningful interactions and helps us cultivate a tight-knit network of like-minded individuals who share a love for outdoor activities and camaraderie.

Additionally, these events serve as a way for us to get to know one another on a more personal level. Through these connections, we aim to identify individuals we feel comfortable inviting to our other Meetup group, The Utah Outdoors Community. This group is intended to provide a safe and private space to host events that might not be suitable for larger, more public gatherings—such as movie nights, game nights, or dinners at private homes. These intimate gatherings are intended to strengthen the bonds within our community and create opportunities for even closer friendships.

By attending and engaging with our events, you are contributing to something special—a vibrant, supportive community where everyone feels welcomed and valued. We’re excited to get to know you better and look forward to sharing memorable experiences together.

We will generally be picking restaurants in south Davis County or north Salt Lake County.

The March full moon is know as the Worm Moon. We will do the hike counter-clock wise with the descent being less technical but steeper than the route up. It should take around 2.5 hours. Bring a light source. Spikes may not be needed but bring them if you have them. FYI - sunset will be at approximately 7:30. Hike will go on as planned with clouds but not if it rains.

We will meet outside of the Natural History Museum (free parking when the museum is closed) on the NW side of the lot.
