The purpose of this group is to help connect community members with our volunteer opportunities, including volunteer adult literacy tutoring, community fundraising events, and more!

Join The Literacy Connection for our first-ever Poetry and Literacy Festival! This daylong event in Elgin, IL will feature workshop learning and guest speakers, as well as an open mic and Poetry Slam. All are invited to be a part of this celebration of National Poetry Month while raising important funds for our adult literacy work in the community.

2:00 PM - Guest Speaker Diego Báez (at Elgin Community College)
7:00 PM - Open Mic & Poetry Slam (at Elgin Art Showcase)
