What we’re about
Come play a VR game in development and be a part of shaping its evolution. Game makers need feedback from players like you! For our in-person meetups, you do not need to have a VR headset of your own! Whether you're new to Virtual Reality or you basically live in the Oasis, your reactions and thoughts are welcome and valued.
For members who do own their own VR headsets, we have periodic virtual meetups in multi-player games like Walkabout Mini Golf. If you're a dev working on a multi-player project, we can give it a play test at one of these virtual meetups.
If you're a VR game dev yourself, you can share your work with other members and get plenty of useful feedback. Join us to schedule an in-person beta night.
Monday, March 10th, 7 - 9:30pm at AudioGraph Beer Company in DTLA we present another VR Double Feature: SUBSIDE and SPATIAL PONG
SUBSIDE
Subside is an incredibly immersive underwater experience that's as relaxing as it is breathtaking. The graphics are stunningly realistic, replicating the nuances of real-life swimming and diving in shallow waters. The swim mechanics are intuitive and feel enough like actual swimming that you may forget you're standing in a room with a VR headset on your face. Check out this trailer video featuring actual gameplay:

SPATIAL PONG
VR Play Testers member Nick Ross presents his project in development, Spatial Pong, a mixed reality 3D version of the world's first video game. Bounce the ball off the actual walls and furniture of the room you're playing in. The game is early in development, so your playtesting feedback will be super valuable!
VR Double Features are free in-person events, offering one game in development that needs your play testing feedback, and one fully released game. Even if you've already played the game up for testing, the other game will always offer something new to enjoy.
The AudioGraph Beer Company, is a fabulous microbrewery in downtown LA. Formerly called HiDef Brewing, they name many of their beers after audio engineering terms, like Ambient, Fuzzbox or I'm With The Band. They make some wonderful and unique beers--check out their current offerings: www.audiographbeer.com
AudioGraph does not offer food of its own, but you can bring in whatever you like. BYO pizza! They also have a barcode to order delivery from a restaurant just across the street.
There's FREE PARKING at the back of the building (an alley called Margo St) --behind either AudioGraph or their neighbor S.D. Herman Co (closed in the evening). For a map to get you there, CLICK HERE. Additional parking is available just across the street on 12th St.
VR Play Testers is presented by MugginsVR in collaboration with Pasadena XR**.
