Welcome to The Warrior's Lodge Gaming Club; Hagerstown, MD’s premier club for Table Top Miniature Games, Role Playing, Card Games such as, Horus Heresy, Age of Sigmar, Magic the Gathering, D&D and other game system enthusiasts! We've been going strong for 10 years now and just recently moved to a new location outside of Leitersburg, and couldn't have done it without the hard work and dedication of our members, so we are genuinely excited to bring another wargamer, club member, and future friend, into the fold. While we are don't carry a large inventory we do offer our members up to 25% discount on order of Games Workshop product and also offer painting and modeling commission. This is a not for profit aspect of the club the supports the growth and expense of operations.
To help familiarize yourself with the club, its members, and what we are planning for the future, we strongly encourage you to take the time to read through some of the topics on the discussion board and look through some of the previous meet-ups we've had on our Facebook Page. We have a lot going on and want you to have every opportunity to participate. Of course, if you’re going through the discussion boards, and see anything you like, or have any ideas about how to do something, don’t hesitate to speak up; we’re always open to new ideas and suggestions about how to improve things. Now, for the rules, which we really only have two of:
1. Adults—21 and older—ONLY!
2. Don’t be a NeckBeard. We’re all here to have fun, and you should be too; if you have a disagreement with someone, or are struggling with something, stay calm, be polite, and ask the group about it. Remember, this might be an astronomically expensive set of hobbies, but when it comes down to it, IT’S JUST A GAME! Don’t ruin everyone else’s good time be getting bent out of shape over toy soldiers or mystical cards! Be cool, and everyone else will be too.
3. We do drink alcohol during most club events, so we encourage those of you who would like to join us to bring enough beverages for yourself, and maybe some to share too! The club may provide drinks and/or food from time to time, but bringing cash to contribute to a group lunch order is considered good manners.
4. Also, remember to ALWAYS drink responsibly; we’re a group of hobbyists who happen to enjoy sharing a few beers together, but we have a zero tolerance policy towards excessive drinking and/or drunk driving. If you think you've had too much to drink, STOP, and talk to another club member; most of us would be more than willing to give you a ride home.
5. Club dues include initiation and monthly fees (subject to change with limited notice), after your first month (free), and cover purchases of gaming mats, terrain, objective markers, and other club supplies. We will often discuss club purchases as a group, before spending club money, but the Huscarls has have the final authority to decide what is purchased and when. If you have a financial hardship, or other situation, that prevents you from paying dues, contact Adam, and he will work with you to create an acceptable alternative to the regular contributions.
We meet approximately every other Sunday in Hagerstown Maryland (Leitersburg Pike), with a whole host of other meet-ups scheduled here and there during the week, so be sure to check the calendar! Stay tune for updates of our new space of over 2000 sqft!
