This is the group for you! NOW IN OUR 8TH YEAR.
We Are Book and Cranny is the most fun you can have between the covers... of a book! We're a book club in Manchester for 28-40 year olds (except for Stuart - the Goose to my Maverick) and we meet once a month (usually the 3rd Monday of the month).
If you're new to Manchester, want to read more, fancy a good chat with a bunch of bloody excellent people and enjoy a laugh (caveat - we don't take ourselves too seriously!) then what are you waiting for... get yourself to Book and Cranny.
Everyone is welcome! We've got a lovely group of regulars (Cranniversary) and often meet up socially - opera, theatre, drinking and most importantly QUIZ NIGHTS!.. and we always welcome newbies. We love newbies. Newbies are our favourite.
So what do we read? Well nothing is ever off limits. We've read the good, the bad and the downright horrendous - including poetry, graphic novels, autobiographies etc. We always pick the following months book at the meet-up and work to a vote system (so come prepared with a suggestion for next month).
Please only attend if you are on the "going" list and have prepaid. We take a register at the start of each meeting and those who are not on the "going" list will be asked to leave (sorry!). We're popular so we always sell out (and MeetUp doesn't allow us to operate a waiting list) - however, we usually get a few cancellations so check back closer to the date and you might get lucky.
