We Cycle Rock and Stroll RVA

Going to try this again given rain out on 9/27. Please come join me and my husband on the Ashland section of the Fall Line trail. We have rode it a couple of times and it is great. Paved all the way, few street crossings, mostly flat with some minor undulations. Round trip is about 12 miles.

We will meet at the Ashland Carter Pool Park parking lot and leave promptly at 10am.

Helmets are required. Bring water and sunscreen. There are bathrooms at Carter Pool Park. If interested, we might go some place for lunch in Ashland afterwards.

We will meet up at the municipal parking lot at 200 mill st.. We will be ready to ride at 1000 am or close to it....We will start across the street at the trail head ride to Rice and back it is 7.5 miles each way..we will stop on the high bridge for a bit....Helmets mandatory water recommended....Hybrid or mountain bike recommended as the trail is a limestone base...Afterward we can do lunch at Charleys Waterfront Cafe....

Part of my pursuit to provide more diverse activities and greater personal wellness for myself and group members. This will be one in a series of Walking/hiking events in 2025... We will meet at pony pasture parking lot 7200 Riverside dr. We will walk along the river 3- 4 miles with a few brief stops to river gaze. Please bring weather appropriate gear will do some trails hiking shoes recommended Bring water and snack. Will provide more info moving forward.

Came up with path that offers sand dirt and light gravel and rocks...it is a 1.5 mile loop will do 2- 3x
