What we’re about
Westerly Writers is a newly formed group meant to unite aspiring and professional authors in Southern RI and surrounding areas. Prospective members from other towns are welcome to join, but all meetings will be held in Westerly, RI.
Some goals of the group are: to meet local writers/authors and develop networking skills, to learn about the publishing process and cultivate tips for success, to exchange feedback with other writers (if comfortable), and to improve as writers overall.
This group is NOT for: blatant self-promotion, racism/discrimination/hate of any kind, or harsh/cruel judgment of any degree. This group is also not meant for anyone who would attempt to control/commandeer the group by steering conversations back to their own experiences/writing. While it's important for everyone to have a chance to speak, it's also important to be cognizant of the group and empathetic toward other members.
