Wichita Oasis is a non-religious community for people to come together to connect, be inspired, and feel empowered. We meet weekly on Sunday mornings and programming may include featured speakers, live local musicians, potlucks, donation drives, game days, and more. The program starts at 11:00 AM, and people are encouraged to come half an hour earlier for coffee, snacks, and conversation.
We also offer a Kids Room where two experienced and vetted adults are ready to help make your child’s experience at Wichita Oasis as fun and engaging as the main program.

Elaine Stephen will explain what ranked choice voting is, how it works, and how it can benefit voters. She will answer common questions about ranked choice voting and discuss how we could use it in Kansas.
Speaker Bio: Elaine is a co-founder and leader of Rank the Vote Kansas. She first became interested in ranked choice voting when volunteering for an independent gubernatorial campaign and learning about how our current electoral system prevents voters from electing representative officials. A graduate of Vanderbilt University, Elaine lives in Wichita, Kansas where she leads Wichita Hearts for Healers and is Partnerships Committee Chair for Principles First.

- Raising Backyard Chickens 101 with Julian SamsonWichita Oasis, Wichita, KS
Join us for a talk on raising chickens for beginners! Julian Samson will be enlightening us on getting started with raising chickens in suburban/urban settings. He's been raising small backyard flocks of chickens since his childhood in Texas. Merely attending will get you a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a little batch of farm fresh eggs from his current flock!
