What weāre about
This group is aimed at anyone roughly in the 20 to 40 age range around the Winchester area, we organise a bunch of difference social events each month that you are welcome to attend. Come along, make new friends, have fun, do stuff!
Importantly, the membership fee is one beer for Lyndon upon request ;)
WHAT'S GOING ON?
We have regular Meetups throughout the year like drinks nights and a monthly pub quiz - both of which are a great way for new members to meet and mingle. We also keep a regular calendar of seasonal events including:
* SUMMER: Hat Fair Saturday / A big group picnic/lawn games day
* AUTUMN: Halloween / Bonfire Night events
* WINTER: Secret Santa Sunday Lunch / German Market Meetups
Alongside that, we have our big two payday New Members Nights:
* At the end of Jan/start of Feb - when everyone's finally got cash again post-Christmas
* And in September - when the city seems to see the largest no. of newcomers
Dotted around all of that you'll also find bespoke one-offs pop up now and then.
Favourites in the past have included:
* Geocaching walks
* Restaurant dinners
* Board game nights
* Lazy day pub gatherings
* Cinema outings
Plus some more adventurous outings further afield, like:
* Country walks
* Bank holiday city trips
* Roller discos
* Water park bookings
* Camping weekenders
ABOUT POSTING MEETUPS
Since Meetup changed the permissions, only group admins can post Meetups. Booo!
However, our organisers are a friendly enough bunch. Some of them even communicate using words instead of grunting and pointing! So please do contact one of them if you have either a vague idea of something you'd like to do, or a more concrete plan for a Meetup - whether it's from the list above, or something new altogether. Alternatively, if you'd like to gauge interest, try the discussions board. (It's all very civil and mature. Honest).
