Moving the introductory walks distance up slightly for a popular 10k early morning stroll. A circular route taking in the South Perth and City foreshores between the Narrows and Boorloo bridges.

Parking
Carparks are nearby. Parking is free at the starting time of the morning but you pay for the next hour, ensure you collect a ticket and place it on your car dash. Hint: Click on the map and find Douglas Avenue, just 150m south east, there is plenty of free parking. 😊
Distance
10km and about 1hr 45 - 2hrs walking.
Difficulty
An easy paced walk and a good distance along paved paths sometimes shared with cyclists, kids and dogs. Kids and dogs are usually well behaved.
What to bring
Water, good walking shoes, hat & sunscreen
Toilets
At Betty’s Jetty and the café.

Coffee and a snack at the Boatshed. We may need to sit outside if they are busy.

(11km)Freshwater Cafe , Perth
Meeting at Freshwater Bay, Peppermint Grove. There are beautiful views overlooking the Swan River from Mosman Park to North Fremantle along the cliffs. We visit the Buckland Hill Obelisk and WW2 Leighton Battery & tunnels before making our way to the beautiful Garungup limestone Caves and Burford's Soap Factory Tunnel finishing back at Freshwater Café for coffee with views over the river.
Forecast is predicted to be cloudy and between 16 to 19°C during the walk with a chance of showers.Where: Freshwater Bay cafe. (Click on map for the exact meeting point)
Parking: Plenty of parking at the meeting point.
Distance: Approx an 11.2km loop. We will be doing a brisk morning walk at around 5.5 to 6km per hour. Approx 2 hours walking plus coffee at the end of the walk.
Difficulty: Easy walking over footpaths and walkways, with 243m elevation due to a few moderate hills. This is a walk for regulars walkers and is not intended for those still building their pace and stamina or recovering from injury. We are expecting a very mild day with cloud coverage, however along the path there are sections out in the open so please ensure you have good sun protection.

Café after the walk: We will share a chat, coffee and bite to eat at Freshwater Cafe after the walk.
Toilets: At the café and several places along the walk.
