Event Description
In this workshop, we will embark on a comprehensive exploration of Artificial Intelligence with a special emphasis on using OpenAI's Ollama platform. Designed for individuals who have experience in programming and development workflows but might be new to AI, we will cover AI fundamentals and delve into the practical use of various models. Throughout the session, participants will gain hands-on experience with tools like Postman to perform HTTP requests and manage JSON responses, which are crucial for effectively interfacing with AI APIs. You will also practice using OpenAI models to execute a range of predefined tasks, such as image generation, and text completion.Prerequisites for the Workshop:
- HTML Knowledge: Basic understanding of HTML.
- Laptop Requirement:
- Windows 10 or later
- MacOS 11 Big Sur or later - Postman Installation: Install Postman in advance to save time during the workshop.
🎤 Speakers
Varshini Jayasankar is a dedicated and driven software engineer currently working at Intuit. Varshini began her journey with Intuit as an intern, showcasing exceptional skills that led to her joining the team after her graduation in 2024. Varshini's enthusiasm for technology and coding extends beyond her professional experience. She co-authored the paper "A Federated Learning Approach for Disease Prediction and Remedies Recommendation," presented at the 9th International Conference for Convergence in Technology (IEEE-I2CT), highlighting her dedication in leveraging advanced innovations to address real-world challenges. In addition to her work at Intuit, Varshini gained valuable industry experience during her internship at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where she further developed her technical expertise and problem-solving skills.Shweta Sharma is a highly skilled and passionate software engineer and mentor. Currently, she works as a Senior Engineering Manager at Intuit, focusing on building customer solutions using AI and driving innovation.
Shweta has a diverse background and has worked with prestigious companies such as Intel, Pandora, Microsoft, NextGen, and Clickable in various roles and capacities. Additionally, she co-founded her startup, ihind. Shweta is a sought-after global speaker and has showcased her insights at numerous events, including the Grace Hopper Conference 2022 & 2024, Graphql Summit 2023, All Things Open 2023, WomenInTech 2022 & 2023, Google TechMaker and Women Who Code San Diego.🌎 LOCATION
