What we’re about
Between every two pine trees there is a door leading to a new way of life. ~ John Muir
I am looking forward to co-creating this conscious community of women in Austin that believe we can do more to support each other personally and professionally through awareness, curiosity, and presence. If this resonates with you, we’d love to have you join us as we learn to listen to our own inner wisdom and empower each other through the beauty and wisdom of Nature.
This is a FREE meetup for adult women that will meet regularly for guided reflection, connection and slow to rigorous activities through Austin’s incredible trail systems, in Nature and occasionally online! Nature provides the perfect backdrop to unplug from the hustle, ground into stillness, bask in gratitude and open our minds and hearts to awe, wonder and transcendence. Can you think of a better setting to prioritize self-care, move our bodies, and connect with others and the natural world?
CONSCIOUS COMMUNITY:
- Our intention is to build an active, harmonious community of diverse, interesting women by offering meaningful activities in Nature (and online during Covid!) that allow our members to come together to have fun, while nurturing our minds, bodies, and spirits.
- Our desire is that this investment of time and energy will make it easier for us to open our hearts to forming new friendships that lead to lasting and meaningful relationships.
- Our goal is that every member feels comfortable and able to become further integrated into the WeWiN community and we welcome participants stepping forward to share their gifts by co-leading events with the community.
- All members are asked to not post or push promotions or sales pitches in order to promote authentic connection and openness.
- We further remind all members to keep personal conversations shared at events confidential.
- All women over 18 are welcome regardless of race, creed, color, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, political affiliation or disability status.
ABOUT YOUR ORGANIZER:
Rhonda spent many years of living two distinct lives; one as a successful business leader in a corporate setting while juggling the challenges raising two sons as a single mother, and one searching for every opportunity to immerse herself and her family in nature to re-charge, whether that be the neighborhood trail system, the most non-commercialized yet accessible beaches or wandering around the vastness of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
In 2017 Rhonda changed that and began integrating the two, doing more and more of her work in nature. https://imaginework.com/nature-coaching/. She also created and led the co-creation of New Orleans' WeWiN Meetup:https://www.meetup.com/Women-Empowering-Women-in-Nature-WeWiN-New-Orleans/.
Additionally, WeWiN depends on a volunteer leadership team and invites all active members in WeWiN to step into leadership and lead events as desired. Please reach out to Rhonda if you find yourself ready to offer events to our community or take on a more active leadership role.

See all- Training for Austin Marathon 5K: Training Run in North AustinCambridge Heights Park, Round Rock, TX 78664, TX
Do you have fitness aspirations for 2025 but need a little *umph* to get motivated? Start out the new year with a BIG (We)WIN!
Join us this Sunday for our training run!
The Austin Marathon 5K is Sunday, February 16, 2025. The 5K starts at the same line as the Austin Marathon, and the out and back route goes through historic South Congress Ave. Registration and additional info are available here: https://youraustinmarathon.com/
You do not have to be a star athlete to participate. The trainings, as well as the 5K, are designed for beginners or those building toward longer runs. At the end of six weeks, you'll feel stronger and healthier—and ready to run the 5K distance without a walking break. (Although if you want to take walking breaks during the run, that’s fine, too.).
Our training runs will be held on Sundays at various places around Austin. All are welcome. If at any point you decide on just coming for the trainings and not sign up for the 5K run, we'd still love to have you join us!
Everyone is responsible for taking care of their physical needs and we recommend that you bring:
- Comfortable running or walking shoes
- Water
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Sunglasses

- Create a Vision Board & Manifest Your DesiresRound Rock, TX 78664, Round Rock, TE
Join us to welcome in 2025 with vision board creations!
A vision board is a collage of powerful words, photos, quotes, and/or affirmations created through an intention-setting ritual. This is more powerful and more fun than setting resolutions, which are usually a vow to do or stop doing something based on societal pressure that many people give up on within weeks!
This year we will host the Vision Board event for a small group of members in person, so please make sure to confirm that you can join before signing up!
With all of the shifts and learnings from the last few years, what matters to you in this moment? Set your intentions for what you are inviting in for the year filled with positivity and empowerment.
We will guide you in the process of creating the vision board including how to utilize the vision board in the coming year!
PRE-EVENT PREPARATION: (optional)
Carve out some uninterrupted sacred time for yourself in the days before the event. Journal responses to any of the following that resonate with you:- What really matters to you in this moment? Treat this as a listening exercise, connecting to your highest self and being as gentle as you would with a child.
- How do you want to FEEL in 2025?
- What are areas where you are CURIOUS to explore this year?
- What would you like to invite in to areas such as your career/life purpose, education, relationships, spiritual pursuits, health, and passion projects? Are there aspects of these areas that want to consider simplifying to create more space for birthing new passions?
- Collect supplies for physical board (see list below) OR check out Canva or powerpoint/google slides to create a digital version.
If making a physical board, you will need poster board or cardboard, magazines, scissors, and glue/glue sticks. PLEASE BRING EXTRA MAGAZINES to this event to share! NOTE: Rhonda has purchased a limited number of foam boards and a vision board book with photos and quotes that will be available with a small donation on a first come basis.
If creating a digital version, please have the software ready to go on your phone or laptop prior to the event.
Bring your open heart, beverages, snacks and anything else that will make your creative process feel sacred.

- WeWiN Full Moon Circle: Welcoming the New Year with the Practice of WinteringCasa de Luz, Austin, TX
### Experience The Magic of the Full Wolf Moon while discussing the practice of Wintering and creating fertile ground for our intentions ....
The Full Moon is a powerful event where women have been gathering in sister circles since ancient civilization. The moon represents completion, the height of power, the realization of your desires and the peak of clarity. It is a time to reflect on how far you have come and celebrate.
In so many stories and fables that shape us, cold and snow, the closing in of the light — these have deep psychological as much as physical reality. This is “wintering,” as the English writer Katherine May illuminates in her beautiful, meditative book of that title — at once a season of the natural world, a respite our bodies require, and a state of mind.
We invite you to listen to her interview with Krista Tippett on On Being from 2021 to consider alternative ways of being and the transformative power of rest and retreat. This feels particularly important in American society where we are inundated with messages about the need to always do or be more, especially as we enter the New Year. Let us inspire each other to find comfort in solitude, nourishment in deep retreat, and joy in the hushed beauty of winter!
- We will meet at a large table inside at Casa de Luz at 6:30pm. Please arrive early allow time for parking and to purhcase dinner, snacks or tea.
- This gathering will include circling with your WeWiN sisters for discussion and intention setting, and of course, HOWLING at the Full Wolf Moon.
- Our circle will include an optional opportunity to share a favorite poem, reading or song about Wintering, Full Moons, Nature or Women.
THINGS TO BRING:
- An open heart and desire for conscious connections
- Money for dinner, snacks or beverages at Casa de Luz (optional)
- A favorite poem, reading or song about Wintering, Full Moons, Nature or Women (Optional)
PLEASE LEAVE YOUR FUR BABIES HOME FOR THIS EVENT!
