Facilitating new friendship and leadership opportunities in Calgary for women in their late 20’s-40’s through a diverse array of events hosted by volunteers in a fun, low-stress, and drama-free environment.

A. WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

This is a drama-free group intended to bring women in their late 20's to 40's together to cultivate meaningful friendships with other Calgarian women.

There is no need to feel shy in attending events solo, the whole purpose of this group is to meet like-minded friends and foster connection.  The majority of those attending events come solo, yet they leave with new-found connections.

If you have any ideas of events you'd like to see, please feel free to reach out to any of the event organizers. We are always happy to hear from you and love hearing your ideas and suggestions!

B. WOMEN LATE 20’S TO 40’S GUIDELINES

Thank you for joining “Women Late 20’s to 40’s Meetup Group!”

We are so excited to have you join our group, we are all about having fun while making new friends. Don’t worry if you don’t know anyone - we are a welcoming and inclusive group!

• WHAT TO EXPECT FROM US

o   High quality events;
o   Clear and timely communication;
o   Judgement free zone; and
o   A welcoming, inclusive, and drama-free environment.

• EXPECTATIONS OF OUR MEMBERS

o   Contribute to a drama-free environment;
o   Be kind & respectful to members, event host and venue;
o   Please enable your inbox to allow event host to contact you; and
o   Only register for events you intend to go to.

• RSVPING TO EVENTS

o   Only RSVP to events you intend to go to.
o   If you are no longer able to attend an event, please move yourself to “Not Going”, to allow for those on the Waitlist to join the event.
o   Please read the entire event description prior to RSVPing.

• TICKETED/PAID EVENTS

o   Ticketed/paid events you will be required to send an e-transfer to the event host to hold your spot.
o   Non-ticketed events that require a reservation may require a deposit to hold your spot. If that is the case, it will be clearly noted in the event description.
o   If e-transfers are not received within the timeframe given by the event host, you will be removed from the RSVP list and the next person on the waitlist will take your spot.
o   If you do not show up to an event you paid for, your deposit will go towards the annual fees for this group’s maintenance.

• MULTI-LEVEL MARKETING

o   We do not allow any sort of Multi-Level-Marketing events or promotion. This applies to all group activities including discussion posts and any virtual event.

• DISCUSSION BOARD

o   Feel free to use our Discussion Board (located in the ‘Discussions’ tab) to connect with other members. Feel free to post ideas for events/activities  or well wishes to the group. However, if there is an event you are interested in organizing, please reach out to the Group Owner to become an Event Organizer. We find that events are much more successful if they are posted as formalized Events rather than on the discussion board.

C. HOSTING
o   Are you interested in hosting? It can be a very fun and rewarding experience with a lot of creative freedom! Hosts are expected to host at least four times within a 12-month time period. Please reach out to the Group Owner if this is something that is of interest to you!

D. LIABILITY & RESPONSIBILITY

By joining the Women Late 20’s to 40’s Group and attending events, I, the participant, hereby release, waive, and discharge the Event Host, and Women Late 20’s to 40’s Group as a whole, from all liability for or by reason of any damage, loss or injury (including death) to myself or my property which has been or may be sustained as a result of my participation in this event, and notwithstanding that such damage, loss or injury may have been caused solely or partly by the Event Host and Women Late 20’s to 40’s Group’s negligence.

I acknowledge that I read and fully understand the general liability waiver and participants responsibilities and fully agree to the terms and conditions. RSVPing to this event is my signature and record of completion of this waiver.
