Womyn Drumming

Welcome to Womyn's drumming!
We offer drum circles for women exclusively and open drum circles that are attended by men and women and are open to all levels drumming experience. We pride ourselves in teaching beginners all about hand drumming and teaching world drumming rhythms in a fun and easy manner. Our motto is, " if you have a heart beat you have rhythm".
This drumming group promotes women drumming by organizing drum workshops, drum circles, and drumming at social justice events. 

We have a small performance group of a few experienced drummers.
Anyone can join our social justice events!  A core group of women drummers, from the Batucada Belles, play at the social justice events....and we welcome women to drum with us, walk with us and dance with us.

  Opportunities to learn to drum and play at social justice events in the Boston area are promoted on this meetup.
The organizer, Jan Hellew, MEd, has been drumming for 20 years, has played in numerous bands, and hosts open mics in Hull Massachusetts.
