What we’re about

There are truly an amazing number of great restaurants in our beautiful desert.

I encourage all Desert Cities Dine Out (DCDO) Members to broaden their horizons, as well as  share their wealth of information, experiences, and viewpoints with each other.

I have been privileged to meet numerous new and interesting people since the inception of DCDO in 2008, and hope everyone involved has the same experience. After attending a DCDO Meetup, I'm sure you'll have several new email addresses and phone numbers to add to your address book!

There is no cost to being a DCDO Member, and most of the restaurants we dine in will allow our members to pay on individual tabs.  For those that do not, it is advisable to plan to pay your portion of the tab (including tax and gratuity) in cash, unless prior arrangements have been made with Organizer.  I have a small tally tablet that I leave on each table to make this easier for Members.

When RSVP'ing to a DCDO Meetup, please be respectful of the time and effort the restaurant puts forth to reserve and set tables based on the number of RSVPs.  Not only should you RSVP in a timely manner, but ensure that you update your RSVP in the event your plans change.  My last check of this is approximately four hours prior to the scheduled Meetup.

If a DCDO Member has not attended a Meetup in 6 months or more the system controls will automatically remove the Member.  You are welcome to rejoin.  This has been set up to do so for the simple reason that people move on and forget to make the change.  I like to keep the Member List as tidy as possible.  My apology to anyone prematurely deleted, and I hope you'll return at your earliest convenience!

DCDO is NOT a business networking group.  We are a social networking group.  I do not promote businesses, charities, or projects, nor do I wish to have Members overtly market or promote their own at a DCDO Meetup.  I thank you in advance for your consideration of this.

Bon Appetit!
