What we’re about

The group is now in its 10th year. We practice taming the mind, calming the body and mind together in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh the famous zen monk, author and nominee for Nobel by Martin Luther King. Anyone can join we do not charge , we pass a basket, but your presence is more important than your donation. We practice Sundays from 6-7.30 except on holidays. Enjoy calming meditation, outdoor walking meditation weather permitting on our beautiful UUCY campus. We do a short teaching from teachers like Thich NHat Hanh, Pema Chodron and others followed by discussion on the teaching or on struggles in our lives or practice. We deeply listen and do not give advice. We are inclusive of all spiritual backgrounds by foundation principle. " Alone, our meditation practice I like a single drop of water, but together we can flow like a river, (Thich That Hanh).
