What we’re about

Are you looking to make new friends with other young professionals? This group might be for you! YSP 3.0 is a group designed to bring people together and form new friendships through a variety of activities such as: hiking, trying new restaurants, movies, game night, karaoke, dinner, dancing, wine tasting, brunches, happy hour, etc.

We focus on hosting fun events where you can get to know the other members. Most of the members in our group range in age from mid-20’s to late 30’s. While almost everyone has at least a bachelor’s degree, it is not a strict requirement. And while most events allow "plus one's" as an RSVP option, the vast majority of our members joined the group solo and made amazing connections through the group. Never be afraid to come to an event alone, even if it's your first event! If you introduce yourself to one of the organizers or hosts as a new member, we'll be happy to introduce you to others and show you around the group!

If you are interested in meeting like-minded people and making new friends, follow the instructions and submit your information. Due to the popularity of the group, applications will be reviewed 1-2 times monthly and offered on a first come, first served basis at the discretion of the organizers. You will be sent an email and private message from the organizers once you've been added to the group. We strongly recommend you review your email settings for meetup to allow us to email you.

Instructions for joining:
Please post a clear and recent photo of yourself in addition to telling us a bit about yourself with a short intro in your profile. This will help us learn a little bit about you and find you at our events. (All information must be accurate and factual.) This is a private group and we reserve the right to remove members we consider unfit for the group or poses harm to other members.

Group Rules
1. This is intended as a social group, not a networking group or a singles group. Therefore, please do not message other members of the group through the Meetup app to ask them on a date or solicit business, especially if you have not met them in person. We have a zero tolerance policy for this, and if cases are brought up to the leadership team, the person will be removed and banned from the group.

2. Unless specifically noted otherwise, for "pot-luck" type events ("bring one food or drink to share", etc.), chips are not an acceptable contribution. This includes potato, corn, sun, tortilla, Doritos, etc. If you have to think too closely about whether something is a chip, it likely is.

3. Nobody likes flakey people. We understand things can happen, but please try to keep your RSVP's up to date- especially for smaller events requiring an exact headcount (restaurant reservations, etc.). Too many last minute RSVP's or no-shows will be tracked and may be grounds for removal from the group.

4. Do not attend events unless you are RSVP'd. If you're on the waitlist and not moved to "attending", you may not attend the event. Please do not specifically reach out to hosts with questions about this.

5. Our hosts are what makes the group possible! Hosts devote a significant amount of time to ensuring that events run smoothly and everyone has a good time. Therefore, the word of the host of an event (or organizer, if there is one at the event) is final. Any reports of disrespecting or disobeying hosts will be grounds for removal from the group.

6. Have fun!
