Welcome to the South Florida Wine Tasting and Food Pairing group!
We'll journey to local wine bars to sample wines, appetizers, and even main courses from across the wine spectrum and the culinary world.
We'll even include highly recommended restaurants along the way with hearty wine lists.
Our geographic reach (for now) will be between West Palm Beach and Pompano Beach.
No drinking or eating experience is required.
Be ready to learn a little about wine, share your knowledge of wine and food with others, meet new people, and share new experiences.
Separate checks will be issued for each person at each event and no one will be charged more than what she or he has ordered.
Ladies' nights are being contemplated but a host or hosts will be needed.

PS Formal food and wine pairing can be undertaken at one of our unhosted events for a flat fee with reservations necessary. Such events always come with a price tag of about $150 pp.
Have a concern or question? Then please message me here as opposed to broadcasting to our entire group. I’m very hands-on, do not bite (only nip playfully), and will usually get back to you quickly.

GROUP RULES
1. Political and religious discourse is strongly discouraged.
2. Please show up if you RSVP.
3. Please un-RSVP within 12 hours of the event if you cannot attend.
4. Please try to show up within 15 minutes of the time of the event.
Arriving later may disrupt the experience of other members who have arrived on time and begun the ordering process.
5. Please don't message the entire group if you won't be attending an event. Instead, un-RSVP and privately contact those who were expecting you to attend.
6. A "2 times is the charm" policy is in effect without exception for no-shows and late cancellations. There will be no reminders to members as to their status. Our meetings are intimate; our numbers per event must remain small. Your action or inaction may deprive a waitlisted member of a place at our table.
7. The best efforts will be made to offer you a positive culinary and social experience. Your positivity is necessary to complete the circle of fun. As such, negative words toward myself or other group members whether verbally or through Meetup related to restaurant choices, times chosen, or group policies would be best left unsaid.
8. Being made uncomfortable by a fellow member necessitates changing seats or a mental note not to sit together again. With this said, the group has zero tolerance for harassment.

- Wine Pairing Dinner at Mia Rosebud/Boca - UNHOSTED $175Mia Rosebud, Boca Raton, FL
Join Mia Rosebud for a “Journey through Italy,” a lively oenophile affair that will honor the legendary winery Marchesi Antinori and feature selections from its vineyards in Piedmont, Tuscany, and Chianti Classico.
The evening will commence at 6:30 p.m. with a “vin ordinaire” reception followed by a seated five-course meal matched with wine pairings at 7 p.m.
Highlights include:
6:30 p.m.-7 p.m.: Welcome wine reception showcasing 2022 Tormaresca ‘Furia di Calafuria’ Rosé 2022 (Puglia) complemented with prosciutto, melon, and crab cakes with arugula salad.

- Shafer Vineyards Dinner - Okeechobee Steakhouse - WPB-UNHOSTED $250Okeechobee Steakhouse, West Palm Beach, FL
Okeechobee Steakhouse in West Palm Beach will host a dinner featuring wines from Shafer Vineyards on October 29. Founded in 1972, Shafer Vineyards is not only one of Napa Valley’s premier wineries but it is regarded as one of the top 25 vineyards in the world, according to The Wine Advocate. This meal, hosted in the restaurant’s intimate Bourbon Room, will include four courses paired with selections from the Shafer portfolio. The cost is $250 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and reservations can be made here.
